Hotel Reservations
Phone 214-630-7000. In order to get the ACB-Texas Inc. group rate of $79.00, please specify that you are attending the ACB-Texas Inc. Conference. Reservations should be made by August 15, 2008. If you call after that time, you can still get the ACB-Texas Inc. rate but the rooms will be allocated on the basis of availability. As usual, the early bird gets the worm.
Check In and Check Out
Check in time is 3PM or later. Check out time is 12:00 Noon. If you arrive prior to check-in time, access to your room could be delayed. A one hour grace period will apply to Sunday checkout for those attending the post-convention board meeting.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend due to unexpected changes in plans, you must cancel your hotel reservation by 6PM on the day you were scheduled to arrive. Be sure to get a cancellation number in order to avoid charges or penalties.
Hotel Dining Services
For those who do not purchase the ACB-Texas Inc. conference dining package, there are other dining choices available. The Radisson Hotel offers an abundance of menu choices for other meals. If you prefer to venture out for a meal, check out the dining choices at The Peachtree Consortium for choices outside of the Radisson.
Hotel Physical Layout - For your reference, here is an approximate layout of the bottom floor of the hotel which includes all ACB-Texas Inc. conference rooms, the atrium area, guide dog exit, restaurant exit, gift shop and restrooms. Use this to become familiar with the hotel prior to your arrival. The layout comes in two forms. There is a visual layout for persons with low vision and users of magnification technology. There is also a descriptive layout, for persons who have no vision. If the information provided helps you to feel just a little bit more at home when you arrive in Dallas, then it was well worth the effort it took to include it. Also remember that there will be volunteers available, stationed in the front lobby and in the atrium area, to help you navigate the hotel.
Hospitality Suite - Hospitality Suite (13th floor) opens from 3pm to 10pm on Thursday and from 9am to 10pm on Friday. The hospitality suite is on the 13th floor. Press "P" on the elevator to access the 13th floor (penthouse). When you get off of the elevator, turn to the right and walk a short distance until you are forced to take another right. Then walk all the way to the end of the hall until you come to a junction where you must either turn left or right. When you arrive at that junction, keep going straight - the door you find is that of the hospitality suite.
Break-out Groups - The View
- Break-out groups will meet on the 12th floor in a room called "The View". Click here to see The View in two formats. There is a graphical view of The View for low vision persons who use magnification programs. There is also descriptive text for those who rely on programs like Jaws to read.
Dog Relief Area - The dog relief area is at the atrium exit near Champagne Room A. Turn to your right as you exit Champagne room A, B or C. Volunteers will be available to escort you to that area. If you enter the atrium area from the Rio Grande or the Pecos conference room, the Guide Dog relief area will be to your left and up the steps as you enter the atrium area.
